  adults karate   Here at Zen-Shin we practice traditional Shotokan Karate Style which originated from Japan. Z.S.K.A currently has 300 members Zen-Shin is a member of the English Karate Federation (EKF), which is the only Karate Governing Body recognised by the Sports Council. Our adult program is a great way to get and stay in shape, and learn valuable self defence skills at the same time. Our programs blend a great physical workout with practical real-life self defence techniques and are ideal for both men and women. At Zen-Shin we practice traditional Shotokan Karate, which originated from Gichin Funakoshi in Okinawa. Zen-Shin Martial Arts Association has a over 200 members across multiple clubs in Birmingham. Zen-Shin is a member of the English Karate Federation (EKF), which is the only governing body recognised by the British Council of Sports. 

Karate is built on self-discipline, and respect. We use our training to develop our physical health, and mental fortitude. As an adult, we train multiple aspects of the martial art to become more confident and self-aware. We first learn about how our body works, the mechanics on how to build more power and to become more stable in our movement.
